About Rey Beauty

Melissa: I am the founder and owner of Rey Beauty LLC.  I started this business at home.  My daughter Rey is my inspiration for this business.  It is established on April 28th, 2021.  

Rey: I am Rey.  I like beauty, skincare, and make-up.  I want to do something other than video games. 

 

Background

Melissa: I am a 36-year-old, single mother of three and a Ph.D. student in Public Administration.  I like reading, traveling, community organization, and natural skincare. 

Rey: I am 11 and in 5th grade.  I like going swimming, going to different cities, skincare and make-up.

 

Personal Anecdotes

Melissa: I am a huge fan of essential oils.  I like to research the health benefits of the products I use and will note them on this website.

Rey: I like exploring natural make-up products because it's healthier for your skin and helps the environment. 

 

Personal Journey

Melissa: What really prompted me to start this business was finding little jars of vaseline mixed with crushed blush, eyeshadow, and Crayola watercolors.  Rey was making lip gloss so we leveled up our standard of ingredients.  We share the love for creating and trying make-up and skincare products so it is business time.

Rey: I was bored so I wondered what would happen if I made a website for make-up and skincare.
